About

Why hello there. I'm Carey and you've stumbled upon my blog (or you're my family member, and therefore obligated to read it by filial duty). I've been cooking since I was about 10 years old and figured it was about time I shared what I've been up to all of these years in the kitchen. And no, husband, I'm not just drinking wine and making dirty dishes.

Throughout all of the stages of my life -- no matter the glee or the tribulation -- I've always found myself returning to cooking. Whether stressed or celebrating, I seem to end up in the kitchen; my happy place. And when I venture from home, it's usually pursuit of flavor that leads the way. I've been lucky enough to taste delights, visit food markets and take cooking classes on five continents and those experiences have never left me.

So sit back and enjoy. Get some new ideas for the kitchen. Gawk at the food porn. Tell me if you love it or hate it. Get hungry!

  4. A few weeks ago you told me, your new(ish) neighbor about this blog. Well, I've tried a couple recipes so far, and they're great! I'm planning to make the Spinach and Feta Turkey burgers this week. Keep up the good work -- I may have even told a friend (or two) about your great recipes!

  8. Hi, Carey,

I don't even know your dad but I have the feeling he is your best PR person. What a sweetheart. Just found you while surfing the net, I mean researching food, and I very much like what I have read so far. :)

  9. Just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I truly enjoy your blog. You're my go-to when I'm looking for a new recipe. Some favorites so far... roasted chicken, pico de gallo, pumpkin goat cheese (made it 3 times!), pesto chicken, olive dip... and I currently have homemade chicken stock on the stove (been saving up some crazy lady bags of bones). :) Keep up the great work!
